About Us

Visionary, Vibrant, Black Feminist AF.

Kindred Bookshop is a visionary digital bookshop and marketplace that represents the spirit of Black feminism. Born from a powerful concept in 2020 and brought to life in 2023, we are on a mission to inspire and empower our vibrant community of Black and Brown readers, authors, and entrepreneurs. At the heart of our vision is the celebration and promotion of BIPOC voices, both in literature and the arts.

Through a carefully curated collection of books, art, and merchandise, we strive to provide a platform for diverse narratives and perspectives. Our commitment goes beyond mere commerce; we are dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging, equity, and cultural celebration.

Our Mission

Our mission is a celebration of the kaleidoscope of voices within our Black and Brown communities. We strive to inspire and empower, weaving a tapestry of narratives penned by BIPOC authors and artists. As a digital bookshop and marketplace, we curate offerings that reflect our values, embodying the essence of inclusivity, representation, and resilience.

We transcend physical boundaries, hosting accessible events that foster connection and dialogue. From virtual book clubs to our virtual working group, our events are designed to be engaging and enriching, inviting all to partake in the celebration of diverse perspectives.
